    CLNS is looking for an Analyst to join our growing Bethesda team! This position will support our Healthcare vertical, which is comprised of a ~$5B diversified portfolio focused on senior housing, medical office buildings, assisted living facilities, etc.


    • Support asset managers and associates in the monthly analysis of property- and portfolio-level performance, including calculation and tracking of operational and financial metrics
    • Track operator/tenant reporting and update internal financial performance and property information records
    • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to satisfy reporting requirements and respond to ad hoc data requests
    • Conduct asset management surveillance and prepare summary packages for internal distribution; liaise with tenants/operators and third parties to obtain required documentation (operating licenses, insurance certificates, etc.)
    • Assist in the analysis of reinvestment and acquisition opportunities and the preparation of Investment Committee memoranda
    • Analyze and evaluate annual operating and capital budgets submitted by operators and support asset managers in budget revision and approval process
    • Review tenant/operator funding and reimbursement requests, prepare funding request packages for senior management review, and track internal approvals
    • Lead quarterly asset management reporting activities, including aggregation and validation of reported financial data, calculation of key metrics, and development of performance commentary in conjunction with asset managers; oversee completion of internal and external reporting packages
    • Update internal property information records
    • Develop, validate, and track assumptions used for internal forecasting purposes
    • Liaise with accounting team to update corporate forecast model 


    • 2-4 years of experience in real estate, healthcare, and/or investment management
    • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, real estate or related with a strong academic track record
    • Must possess superb analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills
    • Independent thinker, high level of initiative and strong work ethic.  Ability to work well with little direction or as part of a collaborative team
    • Strong grasp of financial principles and concepts (IRR, NPV, cap rate, return on cost, etc.)
    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
    • Financial Modeling skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
    • Flexible with a positive attitude and willingness to work additional hours and weekends to complete projects when necessary
