    This position will be supporting our Healthcare vertical, which is comprised of a ~$5B diversified portfolio focused on senior housing, medical office buildings, assisted living facilities, etc. The Healthcare Accounting & Finance team is presently 5 in NY and 13 in Boston.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist with the preparation of:
      • Monthly corporate accounting entries for Healthcare portfolio;
      • Monthly work papers to support the GL balances;
      • Monthly bank reconciliations for corporate entities;
      • Mid-quarter and quarterly GAAP reports for Senior Management;
      • Quarterly Capex Schedules;
      • Internal management reports, including portfolio yield and capitalization metrics, and reconcile non-GAAP reporting measures;
      • Debt covenant compliance for mortgage borrowings of real estate investments; and
      • Operating real estate management reporting & analysis;
      • Stand-alone audited Financial Statements and related footnotes;
      • Quarterly Cash Flow Statement as well as other financial footnote support for the Financial Reporting team;
    • Provide external auditors with supporting documentation and ad hoc requests;
    • Assist the Internal Audit Team to ensure that process narratives reflect current procedures and that controls are implemented and executed;
    • Assist with the preparation of ad-hoc requests, as necessary;
    • Directly interact with accounting team located in our Boston office, asset managers, treasury, AP, legal and tax

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree (Accounting or Finance)
    • 3-4 years of experience in public accounting or a combination of public accounting and corporate accounting
    • Big 4 and real estate/healthcare/financial services experience heavily preferred
    • Working knowledge of Yardi preferred
    • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP + understanding of U.K. GAAP would be a plus
    • Understanding of Foreign entities and FX translation is a plus
    • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels, functions and locations;
    • Desire to identify and implement process improvement opportunities;
    • Effectively communicates with members of the team to ensure established deadlines are being met in an efficient, accurate, thorough and neat manner; and
    • A self-starter who views the business through the eyes of an owner
    • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
