    Colony Northstar is seeking a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for accounting and reporting in the corporate accounting department.  This person will have exposure to many different areas of the company and be involved in a variety of complex issues which will provide the right candidate a challenging and rewarding opportunity.


    • Assisting in month end close for operating and investment management segment up to consolidated financial statement preparation including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flows and related schedules.
    • Responsible for preparation of monthly management reporting package
    • Audit select areas of monthly financial statements and document significant variances from prior month and budget
    • Be able to document and quantify differences between GAAP and Cash basis financials
    • Complete ad hoc financial analysis assignments
    • Review all journal entries prepared by staff accountants
    • Assist with year-end audit
    • Assist with annual budget preparation and mid-year forecasts
    • Be familiar with banking systems to assist as needed
    • Be able to communicate effectively with other departments to reconcile receivables and payable
    • Be able to identify inefficiency in accounting procedure and suggest directions to improve efficiency
    • Assist in other areas as needed


    • Must have attained senior accountant level, or equivalent, at a public accounting firm – Big Four and CPAs preferred
    • Proficient in MS Office with concentration in Excel
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
    • Self-motivated and display initiative
