Our Healthcare division is seeking an Analyst with 1-2 years of real estate experience, ideally with hands-on exposure to senior housing or healthcare real estate portfolios, such as medical office buildings. The incumbent will be heavily involved in financial projections and modeling and will ideally have an understanding of P&L statements.


  • Support asset managers and associates in the monthly analysis of property- and portfolio-level performance, including calculation and tracking of operational and financial metrics
  • Track operator/tenant reporting and update internal financial performance and property information records
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to satisfy reporting requirements and respond to ad hoc data requests
  • Conduct asset management surveillance and prepare summary packages for internal distribution; liaise with tenants/operators and third parties to obtain required documentation (operating licenses, insurance certificates, etc.)
  • Assist in the analysis of reinvestment and acquisition opportunities and the preparation of Investment Committee memoranda
  • Review tenant/operator funding and reimbursement requests, prepare funding request packages for senior management review, and track internal approvals
  • Support quarterly reporting activities, including aggregation and validation of reported financial data, calculation of key metrics, and development of performance commentary in conjunction with asset managers
  • Update internal property information records
  • Track and assist in the incorporation of assumptions used for internal forecasting purposes


  • 1-2 years of experience in real estate, healthcare
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, real estate or related with a strong GPA
  • Must possess superb analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Hands-on experience analyzing a portfolio of healthcare office buildings and/or senior housing
  • Must have very strong excel skills, partciluarly for financial modeling (an Excel test will be conducted)
  • Strong grasp of financial principles and concepts (IRR, NPV, cap rate, return on cost, etc.) is preferred
  • Independent thinker, high level of initiative and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work well with little direction or as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Flexible with a positive attitude and willingness to work additional hours and weekends to complete projects when necessary
