CLNS seeks a Sr. Analyst/Associate, Portfolio Management to join its Healthcare Portfolio Management team in Bethesda, MD. The position is for immediate start.


  • Analyze and report to asset managers on the monthly property- and portfolio-level performance of existing investments
  • Establish and maintain relationships with tenants/operators and third parties to ensure compliance with reporting obligations
  • Track compliance with loan and lease covenants and oversee delivery of required reporting packages to lenders
  • Analyze reinvestment and acquisition opportunities and lead the preparation of Investment Committee memoranda
  • Perform market research related to existing and potential investments
  • Prepare sell/hold analyses, and support data requests related to refinancings, valuations, and other needs as they may arise
  • Support operator transitions through provision of requested data to replacement operators, regulatory bodies, and lenders
  • Ensure timely funding/reimbursement to tenants/operators for capital improvement projects and other needs as directed by asset managers
  • Identify areas for improvement in internal tracking of property information and operational/financial performance; support initiatives to implement new enterprise solutions
  • Manage quarterly reporting activities, including ensuring accuracy of reported financial data, calculation of key metrics, analysis of industry trends, and support of ad hoc analyses at the request of senior management
  • Assist in the development of assumptions used for internal forecasting purposes


  • 2-4 years of experience in real estate and/or healthcare; experience in an investment banking, investment management, or lending capacity preferred
  • Advanced modeling and analysis skills in Microsoft Excel; proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong academic record, with an emphasis in finance, accounting and/or real estate
  • Integrity and hard work ethic with a desire to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, including the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Superb attention to detail, analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated passion for real estate investing
