We are seeking a Vice President of Asset Management - Healthcare / Senior Housing Focused
Oversee a portfolio comprised primarily of seniors housing operating properties (SHOP, or RIDEA).
Work closely with operators to drive portfolio-level EBITDAR via: strategic allocation of annual capital expenditures, identifying and approving redevelopment, expansion and repositioning opportunities, and ensuring that manager’s incentives remain aligned with ownership
Conduct site visits of owned assets as well as local competitors; become an expert on individual local markets.
Oversee the annual operating and capital budget process to ensure that realistic and achievable targets are set
Participate in the quarterly public reporting cycle by providing industry trends and portfolio/property-level analysis and forecasts
Work with Capital markets team to maintain strong lender relationships and ensure continued compliance under the related loan documents
Excellent business acumen, strong quantitative and financial skills, and the ability to quickly digest and analyze portfolio wide information
Understanding of Senior Housing operations and related industry knowledge
Familiarity with various types of legal documents: management agreements, leases, loan agreements, guaranties, etc.
Ability to travel up to 35% of the time
Five to eight plus years’ experience in Seniors Housing industry
Ability to succinctly communicate to a wide variety of audiences: senior management, operating partners, accounting, and legal teams.
