CLNS is seeking a highly motivated team oriented Associate for the investor relations groupPrimary responsibilities include working with senior investor relations professionals supporting our global real estate investment management business.  The role encompasses product development, marketing, investor relations among other responsibilities.  Position is located at CLNS headquarters located in Los Angeles, California.    

Responsibilities

 

  • Product Development – Supporting senior members of the investor relations team in the development of financial products, platforms and funds
  • Marketing – develop strategic and tactical market plans to support capital formation
  • Investor Relations support capital formation efforts, due diligence, assist in fund closings, prepare responses for ad hoc requests, fund structuring and legal documentation preparation 
  • Investments Coordinate with investment teams to develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing as well as prospective investors 
  • Cross Functional Coordination – work with CLNS functional areas including acquisitions, asset management, accounting, finance, business intelligence and third party resources
  • Content Creation – create comprehensive marketing presentations and fundraising documents
  • Industry research short and medium-term special projects and analyses, real-time market observations and intelligence gathering, business development and regulatory trend monitoring
  • Database Management  data collection, collation, analysis and application
  • General Investor Relations Activities  annual meetings, attending industry conferences, office and property tours

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience at a leading investment bank, strategy or investment consulting, or private equity firm
  • Proficiency in Excel models and financial analysis
  • Strong academic record at a top undergraduate institution
  • Integrity and hard work ethic with a desire to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for investments in real estate and value oriented investing
  • Capacity to discretely handle highly confidential and sensitive information  
  • Possess excellent English written and oral communication skills
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have transaction experience with all major commercial property types including office, retail, multi-family, industrial and hotel and/or corporate finance experience with commercial real estate operating companies
  • Organized, detail-oriented, positive attitude, work ethic and ability to multitask
  • Experience in an investor relations or principal investment role is a plus
